My personal interpretation of cairns crafted entirely from glass reflects a careful balance between form and story. Each “stone” is meticulously formed, embodying a distinct character through the application of multiple layers of colored glass while still molten. This layering creates depth and complexity within every piece. Using a large cork marver, I shape each stone with precision, ensuring smooth contours that evoke a natural yet refined aesthetic.

Mounted on a sleek black granite base, the glass stones are thoughtfully arranged, establishing a subtle dialogue among themselves. This composition mirrors the essence of traditional cairns—symbols of guidance and balance—while reimagining their presence through Pattern, color, and light. The result is a harmonious assembly where each element complements the other, inviting quiet reflection and appreciation of the craftsmanship involved.
